Evidence question
Does red light therapy actually work, or is it a scam?
Direct answer
Photobiomodulation is a genuine field of peer-reviewed research, but that does not validate every consumer device or marketing claim. Results depend on the wavelength, delivered dose, protocol, population, and outcome measured. A trustworthy comparison separates published third-party research from product-specific testing and identifies which specifications are verified or still pending.
