Facial rejuvenation frequency: randomized, sham-controlled clinical trial

This 2025 trial studied a 660 nm LED mask in 95 women. Image analysis found changes in selected wrinkle measurements, while the clinical wrinkle scale found no significant difference between groups. The mixed endpoints matter when interpreting the result.

633 nm and 830 nm LED phototherapy: split-face controlled study

This 2007 study enrolled 76 people and compared three light settings with sham treatment. It reported changes in measured wrinkles, elasticity, and tissue markers after the study protocol. It did not test an ALPHALUX device.

Photobiomodulation with an exercise program in knee osteoarthritis

In this placebo-controlled trial of 62 women, active photobiomodulation groups reported lower pain scores than placebo. Exercise improved several physical-capacity measures, and adding photobiomodulation did not provide an extra effect on those measures.

What is photobiomodulation?

Photobiomodulation, often shortened to PBM, is the study and use of non-ionizing visible or near-infrared light to influence biological processes. Outcomes depend on wavelength, dose, tissue, protocol, and the population studied.

Does a published red-light study prove an ALPHALUX product has the same result?

No. A third-party study supports understanding of its specific device and protocol. It is not product-specific clinical proof for ALPHALUX unless the ALPHALUX product itself was tested in that study.

Is higher irradiance always better?

No. Reviews describe a biphasic dose response, and total delivered dose depends on more than irradiance alone. Wavelength, distance, exposure time, treatment area, and schedule all matter.
